Dr. Juan Pineros

MV, MSc

Dr. Pineros completed his veterinary studies in Bogotá, Colombia, in 2013 before moving to Canada to pursue a Master’s degree at the University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College, with a focus on equine surgery and medicine.

In 2016, Dr. Pineros joined Milton Equine Hospital as an intern, where he completed two surgical internships before undertaking a three-year surgical training program under the mentorship of Dr. Marc Desjardins.

Since 2021, Dr. Pineros has worked alongside Dr. Desjardins as an associate at Milton Equine Hospital. Having recently acquired the practice, he is now leading MEH into its next chapter, while building on the hospital’s longstanding commitment to specialized equine care, attention to detail, and exceptional service to the equine community.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Pineros enjoys spending time with his wife and children.

DMV, DVSc, DACVS, DECVS

Dr. Marc Desjardins obtained his DVSc degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1989. In 1996, he moved to London, Ontario, where he established an equine referral practice dedicated to providing specialized care to horses.

In 2006, Dr. Desjardins founded Milton Equine Hospital. His longstanding dedication to the equine industry and unwavering commitment to patient care have helped shape MEH into an exceptional and respected equine clinical practice, with a longstanding focus on the health, welfare, and well-being of its equine patients.
